I love meeting new people and hearing their stories and love creating images for them. To me portraits are about honesty, respect, beauty and truth. Whether it be a portrait of a new life or old one, a family, an individual, a couple in love, a group of friends, or a business, the essence is the same for me. It’s about you just being your natural, beautiful, authentic self.

Investing in a bespoke portrait session is a really special thing to do for yourself and your family. Your session can be for an event of significance like a birthday or anniversary, celebrating your pregnancy or a personal milestone,  an afternoon playing together in the backyard, or just cuddling your new baby. It is a celebration of who you are at this time in your life.

How my portrait sessions work.

Step 1: Once you have commissioned me and paid the booking fee we will have a chat on the phone or at my office about your ideas for your portrait session, what you would like to create afterwards (prints, album, books etc),we will also talk about location/s (home or favourite location) and the timing.

Step 2: The portrait session. On the day we go at your pace. Each session takes between 1-2 hours. There is plenty of time to breathe, take a break, change clothes, kids to have a snack or even a snooze.

Step 3: At the portrait shoot we will make an appointment for you to come to my studio to view your images and place your order. Normally this takes place during work hours about 2 weeks after the session.  For interstate clients I will upload a gallery to my website and we will arrange a phone call to talk about your order. Each session is different however you will typically receive about 40-50 images to view.

I am passionate about creating images, documents and artworks that last a long time. Heirlooms. At the moment photographic prints are the most archival and ecological form of sharing, displaying and preserving your family history. When handled with care these prints will last 75-100 years and you only need your eyes, hands and heart to enjoy and share them. CD’s and DVD’s require power and do not yet have the same kind of longevity.

I have a range of beautiful options from bespoke handcrafted books, albums, framed prints, and enlargements. I will show you samples when we meet.

Your portrait session booking fee is $250

Individual prints start from $110/print

Print collections start from $660

Simple albums start from $950

Photo books start from $1700

Bespoke handcrafted books start from $3300

I do not have any minimum or maximum order limits. Typically my clients spend between $1000 and $4000. I am happy to tailor a package to suit your needs. We will talk about options when you come to my studio.
