I got married Yay!!!!

I got married to the lovely,yummy Dave on the 16th of September. We had a wonderful day full of friends, family, food, music, sunshine and love.

My wonderful friend and absolutely awesome photographer Hilary of Hilary Wardhaugh Photography documented our day and I am so happy with the images. She really captured the fun, laughter and love of the day. Each time I look at the images the joy comes flowing back.

I can hardly believe how my life has transformed over the last year. I really am such a lucky person.

I have been a bit distracted this last few months but I feel like I am now getting a clearer focus for this business. I have made the decision to change my name. A decision that was a challenging one but am now so excited about. Over the next few weeks you will see a transformation of Lindi Holly Photography to Lindi Heap Photography. So stay tuned for all the changes. I have the lovely Richard and Rachel from RTM design to help me with my branding and I am so excited to see what they come up with. For now I will be launching a new site lindiheap.com.au hopefully in the next week so I can continue blogging and sharing what I have been up to. Thank you everyone who have supported me to be where i am today. I love you all dearly and I am blessed to have you in my life. I am particularly blessed to have found Dave. He has shown and shared with me so much about how relationships can be. Thank you my beautiful, yummy man for coming into my life. I am so excited about the adventure we have embarked on together. Baby number 2 – Canberra Maternity Photographer

A big part of my business is family photography. I consider myself to be a family biographer. I love documenting the growth of a family. I started photographing Zoe and Drew when Zoe was 12 weeks pregnant with their first child. During that pregnancy I photographer her every 4 weeks until the end of the pregnancy and then when Arlo was 9 days old.

They have now just welcomed their little girl Poppy. Stay tuned for the images (I am off to photograph them again tomorrow) In the meantime here are some images I did just before Poppy came into the world. Also pop over to Blossoming Bellies to see some more from this shoot.

Cheeky Fun Family – Canberra Family Photographer

When asked if he wanted to share a scotch finger biscuit with his mum, he replied “No I will have both of them and you can get your own…Or not…I don’t care”. This story was relayed by mum (Barbara) and it set the tone for this fun shoot. He was so energetic and cheeky and his new little sister was so patient and calm with him (although I think she might turn out to be just as cheeky). Barbara is a writer and has her own business called Desk Job so if you are looking for a good writer for your business give her a call. Thanks Barb for such a lovely morning, I am really looking forward to working with you.xox

Celebrating Self – Canberra Portrait Photographer

Portraiture is powerful. Much of the portraiture I do is about celebration. Celebration of self, of family, of couples, of businesses. Kyanne is a beautiful 30 something woman. She is embarking on a new phase of her life. She is feeling happy, fit and healthy and wanted to have some portraits to celebrate herself, who she is now. Elegant and classic were the words that she used to brief me. She loves to laugh (from what I observed she does it a lot) and also wanted her images to show that. And OMG she has the most wonderful eyelashes. Kyanne I can’t wait to show you the rest xox

Creative Family – Canberra Family Photographer

I have been working with Rachel and Richard (of RTM Design) for the last two years with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. It has been a wonderfully collaborative experience. I love working with designers and these two are so creative. I love what they do with my images and I can’t wait to share with you what we have been working on for next year. It is very different from what I have done for the last two years. Anyway you are going to have to wait until the end of September to see what I have been up to there. Well R and R and just about (any second now) the birth of their 3rd child. My brief from Richard was to create a range of images that celebrated their family. Thank you both it has been a real pleasure to work with you and to create these images for you. xox

I was greeted at the door with”I know who you are. You are Lindi”. What a wonderful welcome that was and when I left she asked if I was going to still be there when she woke up because she wanted to have someone to play with. Oh is it so nice to be wanted.
