Bespoke Handcrafted Books

I love books, particularly handmade limited edition books. There is something so wonderful about the feel of a book that I am sad to say the latest electronic gizmos do not have. The beautiful thing about a book is once it is created it only needs your hands and heart to enjoy it (no batteries to charge).

I work collaboratively with you to tell your story of your life, your family, your wedding, and your business. This type of book is not for everyone or indeed every portrait session. You may choose to create one after several sessions for example pregnancy, and baby’s first year. It is a significant investment however you will receive a truly unique document, a family heirloom. It is bespoke. No book will be the same.

I design the book with you to include your favourite images. You can also include text. We look at how it might be bound and what materials to use to make it. It is then professionally printed on beautiful cotton rag paper with pigment inks, it is then hand bound by a local artisan. All books come in a handmade box.

Traditional Albums

These are classic matted albums using traditional printed photographs. There is a range of album cover materials from leather, linen and silk.

Box sets of Prints

This is a collection of archivally matted prints ready to put into frames. Thee prints are perfect for giving as gifts to family or for starting a family wall.

Fine Art Prints

My aim is to create limited edition artworks for your walls. These prints are printed on beautiful cotton rag and bamboo rag papers with archival pigment inks. If stored and displayed with care these prints should have a lifetime of 70- 100 years (maybe more).  They are really divine. I have famed them with the image gently floating in the frame so you can see this beautiful paper, the texture  and the feel of it.  My frames are made by a local Canberra framer who frames to to the highest archival standards and they only use sustainable Victorian Ash plantation timber and archival cotton rag matt board for the backing. There is a simple selection of timber finishes to suit your decor from natural, stained, black and white. Come to my studio to see samples.
