PaperMonkey always makes my images look great – Canberra Commercial Photographer

Over the years I photographed a range of jobs for this very talented graphic design firm. Check them out PaperMonkey The briefs are generally pretty open and free form and they always seem to make my images look great in their layouts. Most of the jobs have been to create a series of images that tell a story about an organisation to be used in publicity material like brochures and websites. Instead of an individual or family this is creating a portrait of an organisation or business with a range of images from documentary, architecture, product, details, landscapes and or course portraits. This is the second time I have photographed this school. They are a lovely, warm caring and enthusiastic client. I spent about a half a day trying to be a fly on the wall and document the happenings in the classroom and playground.

Oh, those perfect Canberra Autumn days | Canberra Family Photographer

The thing I love about Canberra is the seasons. Each has it own unique beauty. Autumn and Winter are a great time to photograph fun family portraits. The light is softer and we often get those beautiful crystal clear days. So as long as we rug up and run around we will have no problem staying warm and we can get some fantastic action images.

This beautiful family did just that. I could not have asked for a better afternoon. The light, the colours and lots of playful energy. I created so many fun images I thought I would share them with a slide show. I hope you enjoy them xoxo

I now have a new logo. Yay!!! Thanks heaps Ben and Jono at Papermonkey for all your patience with me this last few months. Now I just have to work out how to use it. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for changes to my website and blog.

I recently made some really big changes in my life. After being in partnership in business and life for the past 13 years I now find myself on my own. While this is not how I had planned 2009 to be I have come to know that sometimes gifts and blessings can be wrapped in some pretty strange packages at times.

I now have a business of my own, Lindi Holly Photography, and it feels great. I am concentrating on growing my talents for portraiture. To me portraits are about honesty, respect, connection, beauty and truth. Whether it be a portrait of a new life, or old one, a family, an individual, a group of friends or a business, the essence is the same for me.

This is my first foray into the blog world. I have to admit that I have been pretty timid to venture here. It all still seems like gobboldy gook to me – RSS feeds, widgets, permalinks, tags, trackbacks, pingbacks, tweets and I am sure there are a heap more. However while my business blossoms and grows into being I thought this would be a beautiful way share new (and some old) work with you while I am growing my new website and branding. So please feel free to book mark me, visit often and share with friends. I also value your comments.
