Had a great day at the Market | Canberra Portrait Photographer

I had a wonderful day last Sunday at Mathilda’s Market, Hyatt Hotel in Canberra. The market was filled with beautiful handcrafted products for children. I met lots of lovely people and shared about how I work and create portraits. I also launched my fine art heirloom prints and bespoke hand made books (only 6 years in the making, more images and information about them coming soon). I am so excited about them and received lost of wonderful response.Thanks also to the family, friends and clients who came along. I really appreciate your support.

Being pregnant is an awe inspiring and an amazing thing. Words cannot describe the feeling of nurturing and growing a new life. While I have not given birth to a child I do know what it is like to be pregnant and I have attended and photographed a very good friends little girl come into the world. Both these experience have been life changing for me.

I am passionate about the sacredness and beauty of this rite of passage, passionate about women (and men) to feel empowered by their changing bodies, to revel in their beauty and ability to nurture a new life, and I am passionate about creating images that honour and celebrate the beauty of pregnancy. I have photographed many expectant mothers and families over the years and every time my heart is filled with the absolute wonder of it. I feel privileged and honoured to be able to create these images.

This gorgeous couple invited me to create some images to celebrate her beautiful changing body. We then went and played in the forest with their 3 year old. Thank you so much for sharing this special time with me. xxx

Just before Christmas I photographed this gorgeous family. We had a fun afternoon running around in the forest. They were waiting the arrival of their newest member to their family who is due any moment now (if they haven’t arrived already). We also did some beautiful belly images at their house beforehand.

Early in June I photographed good friends of mine Tom and Alina a week or so before they gave birth to their little boy Archie. They are a beautiful and inspiring couple who are some of Australia’s best Adventure Racers. They have a business called AROC Sport and run adventure races and other adventure sport events around Australia. Archie timed his entrance into the world perfectly as they had just finished the last race for their season.
