She was helped to come into this world by Jan Jamieson. Jan is a Canberra based Chinese doctor who has a gift for assisting couples to have babies. I have been working on a project with her documenting these beautiful, magical babies. We are working on a book so that other couples may keep the hope going on their journey to have a family. Each story is inspiring and unique. Some babies are created using a combination of traditional chinese medicine and western medicine while others came into the world with Jan’s magical touch when western medicine had given up.

I am truly blessed to do what I do. I feel so hounoured to be invited into peoples lives and learn about their stories. Thank you Katherine and Stephen for sharing your story. And thank you to Jan whose gifts inspired us to start this project.

Well it has taken me a while but finally I am diving in and doing my first proper post. To be honest the blog still scares me. Anyway here I go.

About 3 years ago I met a beautiful woman called Jan Jamieson. She is a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Canberra, Australia. She specialises in helping couples who are having a challenge in conceiving a baby to do just that. Over the 23 years she has been in practice she has helped bring many beautiful babies into the world. When we first met she said “I want you to photograph all my babies”. So about a year ago we embarked on an amazing journey to photograph the magical babies she has had a hand in creating. This is an inspiring project that is a celebration of Jan’s incredible work. Each family have their own amazing stories. I feel truly blessed to be part of this project and I would like to thank all the families I have photographed so far for letting me into their homes and lives.
