  • Welcome to Lindi Holly Photography

Hello and welcome. My name is Lindi Holly and I am a photographer based in Canberra, Australia however the whole world is my studio. My mission in business and life is simple; to create images of purpose that touch people’s hearts, to live and do business with honesty and integrity, to be happy, to be healthy, to laugh a lot, and to love with wild abandon.

I love creating images of people. To me portraits are about honesty, respect, connection, beauty and truth. Whether it be a portrait of a new life, or old one, a family, an individual, a group of friends, or a business, the essence is the same for me. It is a joy and an honour to meet new people and learn about who they are and to create images for them.

I am so grateful to my family and friends who have gently encouraged me throughout my life to be the best that I can be, and to all the beautiful people who have generously shared their lives with me and allowed me to photograph them. A big heartfelt thank you to you all.

I hope you enjoy my website and blog. I regularly add new galleries and blog posts so please visit again and contact me about how I can create some beautiful images for you. Have a wonderful day.

    Much love and laughter

    Lindi xxx

Another beautiful little one

Some of us take a little time to get here. This beautiful little one was 6 years in the making and her parents had an amazing journey to bring her into the world.

She was helped to come into this world by Jan Jamieson. Jan is a Canberra based Chinese doctor who has a gift for assisting couples to have babies. I have been working on a project with her documenting these beautiful, magical babies. We are working on a book so that other couples may keep the hope going on their journey to have a family. Each story is inspiring and unique. Some babies are created using a combination of traditional chinese medicine and western medicine while others came into the world with Jan’s magical touch when western medicine had given up.

I am truly blessed to do what I do. I feel so hounoured to be invited into peoples lives and learn about their stories. Thank you Katherine and Stephen for sharing your story. And thank you to Jan whose gifts inspired us to start this project.

Beautiful Baby boy has arrived

In December last year I photographed a beautiful family awaiting the arrival of their newest family menber. Well he is here.

Had a great day at the Market

I had a wonderful day last Sunday at Mathilda’s Market, Hyatt Hotel in Canberra. The market was filled with beautiful handcrafted products for children. I met lots of lovely people and shared about how I work and create portraits. I also launched my fine art heirloom prints and bespoke hand made books (only 6 years in the making, more images and information about them coming soon). I am so excited about them and received lost of wonderful response. Thanks also to the family, friends and clients who came along. I really appreciate your support.

I’m having a stall at the Mathilda’s Market, Sun 28 Feb, Canberra Hyatt Hotel

I am  so excited!  On Sunday 28 February from 9am to 1pm at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra, Commonwealth Ave, I will be showcasing my family portraits at Mathilda’s Market. I would love it if you dropped in to say hello and feel free to bring your friends. I am going to be launching some beautiful new products.

This is a fabulous niche market that offers unique, stylish and affordable baby & kids goods that are lovingly handmade or of limited production. The retailers are hand pick to ensure an exciting product range.  For a sneak preview, have a look at the website (www.mathildasmarket.com.au) and enjoy a browse through the photos of all participants. I look forward to seeing you there!

Joyous, heartfelt wedding

I love being a photographer. I doubt you will find many of us who do not love what they do. What other job do you get to be creative, have an ever changing office of  beautiful locations, connect with lots of unique and wonderful people, and create images that (hopefully) touch peoples hearts, that help them feel good about themselves.

One of the expressions of photography I do is weddings.  I feel so privileged and honoured to be asked to document these beautiful days. While all weddings are wonderful some have that little extra specialness to them. It is not the location or details or the dress that make them special it is the intangible stuff; the heartfelt love, the true connection between two people, and the embracing love surrounding them from their families and friends. These weddings are just pure pleasure to document. Luckily most of the weddings I am commissioned to photograph are like these.

This wedding of Mary and Dominic was one of those most special weddings. There is a beautiful connection and respect between them and their family and friends gathered around them under a beautiful tree as they shared their love and friendship for each other. They wrote their vows to each other. They were personal, heartfelt, and funny. They both beamed with love. Thank you both for inviting me into your day.
